About BIOXHIT
BIOXHIT was an integrated project
funded for four and a half years starting January 2004 within the 6th Framework
Programme of the European Commission.
BIOXHIT coordinated scientists at all European
synchrotrons and leading software developers. This was achieved in an unprecedented
joint effort to develop, assemble and provide a highly effective
technology platform for Structural Genomics.
BIOXHIT consolidated the process of bio-macromolecular structure determination from
the bottom up. Research was undertaken to develop new approaches in
crystallisation, and to automate determination of the structure.
All of this was unified and embraced by an efficient networking
structure.
The Bioxhit project was
funded by the European Commission within its 6th Framework Programme, under the
thematic area "Life sciences, genomics and biotechnology for health",
